Welcome back to On That Note, a CF music series presented by @MeanDean, @CycloneRulzzz and cyclones500.

My colleagues are occupied with other commitments at the moment, so I’ll anchor this week’s segment, featuring a topic initiated by Rulzzz.

What are some of your favorite songs from music duos? The primary focus is “definitive pairs,” that is, those whose most common work is (or was) as a duo.

It’s OK to include 1-time duets or occasional collaborations if the performance warrants, but we suggest keeping those to a minimum, to stay more on-target.

Additional note: Some duos have recorded/performed with backup musicians, and those are fair game (For example, The Carpenters would count.)

I’ll post a few of my choices shortly. Chime in any time, have fun!

Dynamic duo: Doug Dillard and Gene Clark, from their album The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard and Clark

Singer: Gene Clark.

Another favorite Duo is Hall and Oates and just like Simon and Garfunkel I have several I could post. I'm going to submit

All of those great Hall and Oates songs and you had to post Maneater? I guess to each their own.

This is probably my favorite Hall and Oates song. And Hall's hair is even more glorious than normal.

Here's my favorite Carpenters tune. This reminds me of a girl from college. As romantic as this song is, it's not a directly romantic memory. We sang it as really bad karoake.

But this is probably my favorite Carpenters video.

I think I posted this in an OT thread a while ago about songs that put you in a good mood. Andre 3000 has always brought a lot of energy any time I've seen him perform.

Here's two interesting things about Andre:
1. He has a child name Seven Sirius
2. He gave up being vegan after 14 years because he was in a bad mood all the time, sitting at home eating salads by himself.
