On That Note: Dynamic Duos

Written by Lennon/McCartney song, clearly a "Paul" tune. A few info-nuggets follow the clip (subject to verification by @MeanDean)

(1) McCartney apparently wrote it when he was 16.
(2) He didn't think it was good enough to be a Beatles single.
(3) Peter Asher (brother of Paul's girlfriend Jane) asked McCartney if P&G could use the song after signing a record contract in '63.
(4) One of only 2 Lennon-McCartney songs to reach No. 1 in U.S. when recorded by non-Beatles artists. The other: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (Elton John).

I have seen a lot of Hall and Oates mentioned, and I have to agree that this particular duo and Simon and Garfunkel are my two favorite duos of all time.

"Live From Daryl's House" features Daryl Hall and invites other popular artists to cover H&O as well as his guest's own music. There are several great collaborations, but his work with Cee Lo Green is probably my favorite. Cee Lo has such a crazy high placed nasally yet smooth voice that fits really well with Hall's older, throaty, growling sound. Never mind the fact that the band is pretty incredible as well. If you are a fan of H&O and haven't listened to some of Daryl Hall's collaborations on "Live From Daryl's House" do yourself a favor and set aside an hour to do some exploring on youtube.
