Cyclones and Rocco got some confidence back. Mouser needs to really focus on being run-heavy and giving Rocco easy throws to get him going. If they do that, they can open it up. Rocco struggles on the sideline throws so focus on getting him pass in the middle of the field.

Looking for a good spot in Des Moines/WDM/Ankeny area to take my dad to watch the game on Saturday. What is a good spot for Cyclone fans?
It's a bummer that Keg Stand is no longer around that used to be my Cyclone game watch bar of choice when I lived in WDSM.

I don't get to them as much, but I've heard The Station on Ingersoll in DSM is very Pro-ISU.

In my neck of the woods in Johnston Backpocket Pin & Pixel on Merle Hay can be a fun game watch place.

Will weather be an equalizer? Calling for wind and rain in Stillwater Saturday. Seeing a forecast for 20 to 30 mph winds. A low scoring game gives Okie State a better chance. Their offense is only averaging about 14 points per game.

Their defense is allowing almost 200 yards per game on the ground. might be wind and rain, but expect a steady dose of Carson Hansen

It shouldn't be. If Iowa State shows up like they should, Cyclones should win in any weather conditions (Okie State is playing in them too after all.)

Might make the trip to Stillwater if this blizzard in DSM forces me out of town early. Although I’ve literally never seen ISU win a road/neutral site game in person and at this point think I may be the bad luck guy

You too, huh? I had season tickets up through 2007, but have been attending games sporadically since. I haven’t seen a Cyclone victory in person since we beat Colorado on Bret Meyer & Todd Blythe’s senior finale in Jack Trice. Everything I’ve attended since then has been a loss. So now I stay away.

To me that seems like an advantage for us, we get to use our strength of running offense and less chance of them attacking our injured DB core

We lost to Colorado so anything is possible, but as long as we stick with the run I like our chances.

Been to Stillwater numerous times. What I remember most about their stadium is that it's one of the fields in college football that runs east/west rather than north/south.
