One day we'll find out the true story of this. My guess is that it's not going to be pretty.
Yeah. If I was to guess I'd say there's probably like a one in five chance that this story has a happy ending. This rehab has just dragged out way too long. I hope we're looking at an all-time comeback season but I think it's more likely that he never gets back to pre-injury form. And it's a shame. He committed too many turnovers but it feels like people are alrewady forgetting what he did before all the shoulder stuff. Take a look at that 2014 roster he dragged to the AFC Championship some time. It was Luck and a bunch of scrubs.

I waver on him. I think he's very, very talented, but a lot of people were crowning him before he'd really done anything. He's still in the "prove it" phase for me.
I get that. I think it was a perfect storm - he's an aggressive QB by nature and the poor quality of the team around him just exacerbated that and led to him making some really bad decisions and turnovers. It's fair to want to see what he can do with a competitive roster and competent coach. And right now we know that they don't have the former and it's unclear if they have the latter. 2018 could be another tough year even if he gets back.

I'm just grateful he doesn't look like Matt Damon in Courage Under Fire anymore. This photo from last summer about made me give up the NFL.

How many more chances does Jameis WInston get in Tampa? He hasn't exactly lit the world on fire, and this is the second time he's faced sexual assault allegations. I wonder if the Bucs won't be starting from scratch next season with a new front office, coach, and QB.

Skol! Danielle Hunter has signed a new 5-year, $72M extension to stay in Minnesota.

They already picked up the fith year option back in April, but it doesn't become fully guaranteed until March of 2019.

Kam Chancellor is walking away from the NFL. He didn't specifically use the word "retirement", but it sounds like the reason for that is there are some injury guarantees in his contract that'll have to be hashed out between him and the Seahawks.
Decent chance that by the time training camps start that there'll be no holdovers left in the Legion of Boom. Earl Thomas is the last man standing there, and he could still be traded this offseason.
Seattle is going to be an interesting team to watch. As long as Russell Wilson is upright they'll be competitive but Pete Carroll is pretty much trying to rebuild on the fly. The NFC West has gotten much better in recently. It's not a stretch to see the Seahawks finishing third in that division.
