Yeah, he might not get it anywhere. But, from Bell's perspective, he's sees Gurley get a ulti year contract that pays him more per year than the franchise tag is worth. Bell sees himself as the best running back in the league, and it's hard to argue too much with that.
Gurley isn't a bad pee test away from a big suspension... Bell will get a massive contract offer from someone but it will be a dumb/bad team like Oakland, NYJ, Cleveland or Tampa Bay.

Didn't he have to borrow something like a billion dollars just to get the Vegas stadium built and to pay the relocation fee?
Rams and Chargers owners aren't broke (I assume and didn't Google). The Rams owner is LOADED though.

OR...the RB market will be soft and the Pats will get him on the cheap on a one year deal.

If this happens I quit pro sports.

LOL, it crossed my mind earlier today with the Earl Thomas holdout too. Suppose Thomas is a locker room cancer with the Seahawks trying to get younger? Could the Pats or another AFC contender flip Seattle a second or third rounder just to get rid of him and get him out of the NFC? I don't know how he fits from a football standpoint; I just know that New England is more or less year to year at this point. If they thought Thomas could put them over the top then you never know.

Yeah, I can understand that. But I can't blame either side for digging in. Le'Veon Bell is right for wanting to cash in on a long term deal, and Kirk Cousins just showed everyone how betting on yourself can pay off if you stay healthy.
And the Steelers are right for not wanting to pay a premium for a non-premium position. Le'Veon Bell is one of the best and most dynamic players in the league, but he also plays a fairly replaceable position plus there's a ton of wear and tear plus he has a lengthy injury history.

I love LeVeon when he's actually playing hard and active. He's had injuries and suspensions that just kill his overall value.

I also fully understand that he has to get his money while he can. One hit to the knee and that earning potential changes exponentially.

The Steelers offered a 70 million dollar contract, they just didn't guarantee nearly as much as Bell wanted. And I don't blame them for not putting that many eggs in that basket.

I really hope Conner is a gamer and can provide some production this year and in the future. Roethlisberger is not getting any younger and his window is closing. They are a year or two from rebuilding with a new QB AND without Bell.
