Decent tournament and they held their own for the most part tonight, given the circumstances. That was largely Mexico’s WC squad and we had the majority (all?) of our best XI absent. Not that it’s excusable for our best to not show up, but the context is important.

Need better forwards. Agyemang is not the answer. He seems to have the physical attributes, but he’s just doesn’t have the moves to evade defenders and loses the ball too easily.

I thought the defenders were decent to good this tournament. Lot of young talent showed in this tournament. Hopefully that group can contribute come the WC next year and beyond.

Ecuador goal was against run of play. Shaky first 5 minutes but after that settled in and US was better team. Looked like a pretty cohesive team performance to me...
