Actually, this year's class is looking much better than their typical class.
2009- 4 4-stars 12 3-stars
2008 0 4-stars 8 3-stars
2007 1 4-star 11 3-stars
2006 0 4-stars 10 3-stars
2005 1 4-star 6 3-stars
This is by far their highest rated class in quite a while.
As per Rivals.
There are a few free videos available on Cyclones.com. Rhoads talks about getting the Istate cut into the back of his head. click here.
I am guessing that sites like Rivals are becoming more liberal with their star allotments. Considering all the flack they get, as well as the thought of trying to sell subscriptions in this economy, I'll bet they are throwing stars around like candy these days.
Take a look at this class from 2004(per Rivals):
1 four-star
11 three-stars
17 two-stars
And almost none of the 3 or 4 star guys made that big of an impact in their career at ISU (if they even showed up).
Looks about just as good as 2009s doesn't it?
How did that class turn out?
That's why DMac lost his job.
After looking at the names on that list, I want to fire DMac again!
Ugh, what a horrible horrible recruiting class.
The 4 star was Webster Patrick.
The only players that were any good out of that class were Tim Dobbins, LaMarcus Hicks and RJ Sumrall. Coincedentally they were all 2 stars.
We got 4 4-stars this year?
No. That post was about TCU (for some reason...)
I think I remember someone saying that part of the reason why a lot of the kids stuck around is that some of the former coaches did an excellent job of acting as a bridge to Paul Rhodes instead of giving ISU the gigantic F.U. in response to the shafting they just received. While Rhodes deserves the credit for getting the kids to come here on such a short notice, the remainder of the former staff deserves their credit as well.
after reading the article, imagine that. after chiz leaves KF and fat-gino swoop in on another ISU commit.... thanks for sticking to the good guys AJ!!!AJ Klein from Kimberly WI is a big pickup. And his comments in today's local newspaper were solid.
