Official Signing Day Thread

Bellamy commited to USF out of high school. He then went the JUCO route. There are two rivals accounts for him. He has not signed with anyone yet. The Bellamy signed with USF right now is a running back recruit and his name is not Josh.

I'm beginning to get a bit worried about James White. Last I knew he was pretty solid on his commitment. Him and Bellamy are the only two that have yet to sign.

James White just commited to Auburn...

J/K - Wouldn't surprise me though considering he was recruited by Jay Boulware who is also at Auburn now.

all in all, I am impressed to how well Rhoads has held the current team together and the recruits.

Me too! Rhoads and his staff have done an outstanding job keeping the guys we have and bringing on board a lot of other good guys. I think Pollard probably deserves some credit for keeping the existing athletes in tact too....he made a great effort to reassure them that he'd bring in a good coach - and it looks like he did that.

When I first heard Chizik was leaving, I immediately thought.......oh my god - we have to start all over again and we're going to lose all of our young talent. Thank god that didn't happen.

Today is a good day - regardless of who else comes on board. Welcome to all of our new student athletes! GO CYCLONES!

It feels a little anti-climatic, for me  Very happy we are getting everyone we had committed, but I was hoping for one semi-surprise to keep us talking... The Bellamy thing is the wrong direction I wanted talks to go :)

Kind of how I feel. Last year seemed more exciting, although I am quite pleased, but although its not done, it feels done.

I just put in an email to the Dallas Morning News Recruiting Day writer to see if I would get a quick response about james white... can't hurt right? :)

I definitely am impressed with the work Coach Rhoads did in keeping the class together. He brought an almost instant stability to things, with a passion that makes it look like he is going to bring some genuine excitement to the football program. The kind that has sizzle with the steak.

Hmmmmm, steak.

It's true, the day is not yet finished, in fact far from it. Although it certainly does feel as if this class is pretty much wrapped up. Not a whole lot of surprises. I'm happy we didn't lose any guys that commited (yet).

scout has us attached to White...

I don't follow football as close as basketball. What is the general consensus of this signing class? Average, above average? What do the experts think?

I hope Coach gets it going. Good lord knows it's time.

Give this staff a year to get out there and recruit and I think we will see some big things come next year. This is impressive considering the short amount of time they had.

This class has more speed than I ever remember seeing in prior years. So many impressive 40 times.

I try and ignore the star rating because that is largely based on who is recruiting the player. Just because OU, UF, USC aren't recruiting a player, doesnt mean he shouldn't be a 4-5 star.
