Are you really worried about beating BYu in the tournament in a nutural site? I mean seriously? If you worried about BYU then just stop, your team is awesome and has the potential to make a final 4, BYU is a speed bump

we came close to losing to BYU at home. Jesus.

Dude, you are too smart to not understand the point of playing a game that flukes happen, especially when motivation is a huge component. This bracket is the hardest and it's not even close. I still feel my team will win, but they did us no favors after a GREAT season.
Strong disagree, you have a bunch of G5 teams and then maybe BYU, your team is good enough to beat all of them. Yeah nothing is guaranteed, Duke lost to freeking Mercer, but your path is extremely winnable

Yes. Matchups matter and they're a terrible one for us.

We got hosed but TJ will have them playing with a chip on their shoulder. That may be more important than anything

Teams either go one way or the other after being screwed. I hope we go the right way! I think we will.

My final venting question before I move on.
If they claim to look at the whole body of work why is the non con SOS a metric. Shouldn't they just look at the overall strength of schedule?

I mentioned it before but it has to be a directive from the TV companies. They want teams playing non-con games they can put on TV. If everyone plays SWAC teams all non-con they have nothing to put on TV

If you’re UConn, you kinda got to be pissed too.

You’re the overall #1 and you have BYU, Illinois, Auburn, Iowa State
I suspect Auburn can give Uconn a run. Maybe. All the other brackets look fairly tough however. I am happy Iowa St. ws not near the SEC teams like Kentucky or South Carolina or Alabama. They all look tough.

Certainly not the ideal draw on several levels, but we are capable of beating anybody anywhere. The key is going to be keeping our bump in offense going and not letting teams get a bunch of 3's. I don't like teams that have the underdog edge (South Dakota State and Drake) so close to home, but we should be able to put both away pretty handily. We need to stay focused, composed, not get out of control, and not let any team get hot from distance.

Are we a lock for the evening session or something? Why are those tickets higher than the first session's?

Agreed. And to add to that - if you're going to claim to look at the entirety of a schedule, how do you justify completely nullifying conference tournament results? The UCONN board states the top 6 lines were decided by Saturday. That's horse sh*t.
