*** Official SELECTION SUNDAY Thread ***

Why Illinois State? They didn't beat anyone all year. USC at least doesn't have the horrible losses Syracuse does. Those should count for something
You can tell from the committee's seedings of the teams that they value RPI - Illinois State's RPI of 33 is higher than the last 4 at-large teams that got in. ???

I think Calipari had a good point: just tell us what the conference tourneys mean. In some respects they are given great credit - in others they are not.

I agree. Listening to the head of committee about moving up or down is difficult once they start the brackets, so first 2/3rds of season more important, which is the opposite of how it should be imo, unless your Michigan basically.

It's not an original thought. He says it and everyone things great idea when many people have been saying the same thing for years.

Amen! Hollis made it sound like "hey, we worked so hard on these seeds during the week, we're not going to just move them around so fast on Fri - Sat - Sun." Huh?

I can't believe Vanderbilt was a 9. I would have thought they would be play in game material with 15 losses.

SOS doesn't do any good if you can't beat any of those teams. Besides us they didn't beat anybody in non-conf and barely finished .500 in a crap conference.
