Interesting stats:
Texas has lost three of their last five first round matchups and have not made it out of the first weekend in 12 years.
Fran is 3-7 ATS in the NCAA tourney.

Because you only have 10 teams?

Btw while I agree the Big12 is the best conference by far in cbb you all sound like SEC football schools who claim that because the conference is so good everyone of there losses is a good loss and thus just about every team should be ranked.
Why should that matter, they are supposed to be picking the best teams to get into the tournament. Not making sure that teams that play the 11th to 14th ranked teams in the league getting easy wins should make the tournament.

Do you think Tech and OU should have been in or something?

Nevada played 2 P5 team non conference and lost both

Again it seems loading up with cupcakes before conference and buillding a bunch of worthless wins is more important.

Committee is kind of all over the place
I dont really feel like they are all over the place.

Every year they do this, put a team like Nevada in over an 18-14 type team that played alot tougher schedule. They seem to favor wins more than just who you got beat by.

I was just saying that your argument sounds the exact same as the one SEC football teams make. Rutgers had a higher NET then OSU and they didn’t get in either.

Good news is your schedule gets loads easier next year adding 3 teams that didn’t make the tourney.

It’s so dumb. Games on Tu and Wed but all winners play Friday. Throw in the seeds they make play and I say just do away with the play ins.
I agree. I remember when they expanded, it was because there were supposedly good teams being left out. Mid majors were getting bids and leaving out power 5 teams. But now with conference realignment, and mid majors no longer getting in regularly, the tournament does seem watered down. This tournament would be no different if 2 of Pittsburgh, Mississippi St, Nevada, and Arizona St wasn't in.

The only thing that could have made this season worse for them would've been an early exit from the NIT. They couldn't afford to risk it.
The funniest part of the state was "many factors go into postseason play." Huh?

I feel so bad for Oklahoma State. TO go through the absolute slog of playing in the Big-12 this year and ending up as the first team out is so brutal.

I would be pretty pissed at Boynkin if I were their fans.

They took on some early bad losses and were way more capable than that and probably capable of winning more Big 12 games.

what is timmie injury. Is he expected back?

The infamous hockey style "lower leg injury". I'm too lazy to look (I'm sure it's out there) but if I had to guess it's probably something like a groin or leg muscle strain. My guess is they are being precautionary about it but we shall see.

At first I was kind of dismayed at them being left out over Ms. St and Arkansas, who really didn't do much to impress. But if you look at OSU's wins objectively their best ones on paper are against us, with their win at Hilton easily being their best win. They kind of pissed the games at the Phog and Bramlage down their legs, but they just didn't have enough quality victories. Even Ms State beat Marquette earilier in the year and I think those kinds of wins were the difference.
