But that was last year when the roster had 35 walk-ons beyond the 85.

Couple things, with the 105 roster limit:

• It's not a requirement that all 105 players be on full ride scholarships.
• Since the House Settlement/NIL money is being allocated to FB by Jamie Pollard, do payments to players have to be cash? Or can they be a full or partial scholarship?

With 3000 kids in the portal, after all the big-dogs and second tier players get their pay-for-play cash. There's going to be players happy, very happy to just have a full cost scholarship.

There were over 3300 a couple days ago. There will be 5000-6000 kids total when it's all said and done.

If you think we should be competing for national championships then your delusional. Only maybe 15 teams in college football can say they have the ceiling to accomplish that. That's crazy.

I struggle with comments like this, even Jake Brend has basically said this...do I think college football is messed up and stacked, even historically, for only a few, absolutely yes. However, Campbell stated to his coaches when he got here, we are going to win a National Championship here. It's not delusional to want or set a goal to compete to win a Natty-It's the best place to start if you are going to win a Natty, I'll place my bet on the team who believes this 10 out of 10 times over the team who just wants to win conference championships.

With his posting history, he thinks we are going to have players playing both sides because we will only have 50 players and most will come from Dordt.

His posting history suggests he is butt hurt by us not making Mouser the head coach.

To say otherwise is a loser mentality. I think people are conflating winning a national championship with having a legitimate shot regularly. There are probably less than a dozen school who can enter the season every year with that kind of goal in mind(and that's mostly because they're the ones the media wants on TV) but there's nothing that stops a good, solid program like ours from hitting on a couple extra guys who make the difference in any given year.

To be fair that guy almost hit 2K yards this year in like 15 games. Early on the season USD was hot garbage as well. He was pretty damn good.

Competing in, and winning are two different things. I think we can get to the playoff but ask Texas Tech what playing with the big boys is like.

I like the part in Hoosiers where the Hickory (Milan) coach tells the boys that the fieldhouse is too big and their opponent is too good for them to compete. Or like when we went into Purdue and TJ told our guys that we’d be lucky to keep it within 20. I also like walking around on sunny days with an open umbrella.
