***Official portal tracker thread***

Our LBs are not very good. McLaughlin was good earlier in his career but didn't look good after coming off injury. Ebel was ok. Bacon is ok. Willich is always hurt...

It's possible that Rogers asked our guys to leave, but who knows. Bacon hit the portal early so I'm guessing he was asked to join Campbell at Penn State.

No big deal, imo. I like the way Washington State uses their LBs and the guys we had probably don't fit that style of play. We are gonna be better at LB moving forward.
I don’t think they are very good either. But I highly doubt Rogers just showed up and ran them out of the program - for reasons that go beyond just their play on the field and the poor shape our roster is in. It would be bad to run hard working productive Cyclones off the team in your first weeks on the job for many reasons.

I appreciate most of friendly's post. He's not confrontational yet stands his ground. Well spoken and often times has a fresh perspective on topics rather than us who only wear Cardinal and gold glasses.
Counterpoint: The blarge call.

Call it cardinal and gold glasses if you will, but the Cyclones were robbed of a national title in 2000 and anyone who failed to renounce affiliation with Michigan State after that debacle is a fundamentally defective human being.

No offense, @FriendlySpartan

I was at ISU then and there was a vocal minority that wanted him fired. Too vanilla of an offense was the problem in their eyes. When he did leave there was a fairly loud number of people that were glad and thought ISU could do better. Similar to the "Has the rot set in" posts about CMC.
His play calling was Dexter to the left, Dexter to the right, Dexter up the middle then punt.

Lotta our transfers gonna be "riding the pine."
Vast Majority of whom, will never see a fb future beyond a $60,000 UFL paycheck.
Rocco better be "careful."

All good, in 2000 I was going to go to Virginia and not even living in Michigan at the time

Kinda bummed that Rocco beat some of Brock's records.
Comparing the 2...laughable.
I'll donate my billions to ISU athletic department if Rocco accounts for 10 tds in 2 NFL games.
Plus, free Pizza Pit pizza for life, for any ISU alum, forever.
Safest bet I ever made.

Didnt work at colorado for long
Indiana brought in 25 or more players a year ago from JMU. Bill Snyder built teams on fly ay K State with JC players. Culture matters. Colorado is a disaster- a quick flash in the pan. Deon is no CEO. Deon and the now fleeing athletic director has CU athletics on the brink of financial ruin.
