We offered a DE out of Iowa Western

Looks a little small…but he’s got a motor & some quickness.

We are apparently his only P4 offer at this point…he's improved is offers over HS substantially.

Not sure anyone on our roster from last season wouldn't have a spot this season. Pay may change but with the exodus and available options, I think you keep the guys you can that want to be here over the options available. PSU is a step up from ISU as we are from WSU. With departure numbers everywhere and how much we have to replace, I think keeping anyone we can is important. 85 schollys (or whatever the ever changing rules are) is a lot, and we had higher caliber players here than we'll get replacing over half in the portal, even if they hadn't played.

The other DE was a commit. He decommitted but seems to be available yet. Iowa Western had a DT that signed with KSU but he’s back on the market too. Maybe we can get all three. Iowa Western set the season sack record I believe.

Other than SEC / B10 we are as good of destination as all but a handful of B12/ACC teams & can pay roughly the same.

Plus those teams won’t have playing time or slots to fill like we will.

Below that is P5 and others.

We’re probably a more attractive option than some B10 teams tbh.

I really don’t think our guys can’t be replaced with as good or better options. Especially when we were gonna see an entirely new O & D anyway.

I’m usually not all that positive about things…I’m pretty upbeat about next year.

National Championship? Maybe.

How funny would it be if we won B12 next year.

(I’m just playing…but I think we’ll be 6+ wins)

Omg…. if he’s starting at PSU…. PSU fans are in for a treat. They are used to good LBs there.

And if he’s going there to ride the pine instead of playing here, that’s even more funny.

What makes you so sure he would have started if he stayed? It is probably better to go ride one at c Pedo State then ride pine at your current school because you were recruited over by the new coach. I am sure Coach Jimmy Rogers and his staff can evaluate players.
