***Official portal tracker thread***

Need more Satanist guys, they'd play to beat your brains out and not be nice to let the opponents hang around.
That is not a Christian thing- that is a Matt Campbell, Kirk Ferentz thing. "1 Corinthians 9:24 24  Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win."

Notice it does not say "play not to lose."

When Penn State makes the playoffs next year you all can create a thread and circle jerk because their QB has an ISU diploma.

What good does this do for our football program? What personal satisfaction does this give you?
I am probably going to be disappointed for awhile, but in the end (maybe a year or two) I imagine I will toot for Campbell.

As for next year, if PSU makes the playoffs it will depend on matchups. If the play the big 12 or a group of 5 team, I will cheer against them. I would cheer against them against any against most Big 10 teams except Iowa, Oregon, OSU, Michigan, USC. Vandy is the only SEC team I would root for over PSU. I would root for most ACC teams except FSU, Miami and Clemson.

Why do you care if someone cheers for PSU? What good does your attitude do for the Iowa State football program? What personal satisfaction does it give you?

I kind of chuckle at the irony of all of this.

Ideally, we would all want Iowa State to keep all their players for 4 years and have success, but we don't live in that world.

My attitude is that I am a cyclone fanatic and nothing will ever change that. They could drop to division 3 and I would still be a cyclone fanatic. But, I also have really grown fond of some of these guys and will follow them wherever they go. That doesn't hurt Iowa State at all.

For the folks that are just want to completely disown all transfers, I don't get it. If you truly only care about Iowa State football team, then someone leaving shouldn't bother you at all. Once they are gone, they are dead to you. And that is fine. But you spend an awful lot of time online demanding that all Cyclone fans feel the same way you do. That if cheering on the coach and QB who had the best cycle of success in Iowa States history somehow hurts the Iowa State football program. That cheering on local kids or players you grew fond of somehow hurts the Iowa State football program. So stop being hypocritical. If you care only about the football program and not the players, then stop whining about people who don't want to pretend they never existed.
