And nobody should be surprised but somehow they are.As of 4 pm on 12/29 ISU has 42 outgoing players, only behind Oklahoma State (44) for most in P4.
I think we can take the lead if we stay focused. Go Cyclones! As of 4 pm on 12/29 ISU has 42 outgoing players, only behind Oklahoma State (44) for most in P4.
Dylan lee entered…getting close! There's still time! We can do this!
This is the right way to do it. decommit and recommit in the same tweet
Oh, I have. Not trying to discount your feelings, but I just think you are exaggerating. You obviously have not read the many posts from the person I was replying to.
Where I come from, we call that "Waldening." To be honest that doesn't sound like MC. He will work hard to put out a winning program. I'm sure he believes having more player money and financial support behind the program is key, but he will not get as much mileage out of his coach speak baloney with 4 and 5 star guys, fans, and boosters that he was able to sell in Ames. I think he is a pretty close analogue to James Franklin and will get similar results.Wait until they find out how much they’re overpaying for them! Lol
Someone posted MC was getting tired of coaching college and might retire before this came along. I can see that…and I think more than anything he saw pedo as an $80m life raft to that.
I can see him throwing money around to his loyalists…ride out a couple years and take the payout if it all goes wrong.
Why not?
Frankly it’d be great for college sports if more of them did start doing it. Maybe wake up some of these insane U’s and boosters from spending tens of millions trying to win a NC.
I'm surprised he didn't want to stay to compete for the starting job.. it was right there with Carson Hansen leaving!Dylan lee entered…getting close!
No way, the getting on the knees with mouth open, couldnt have totally been an exaggeration, for effect. That was 100% realistic.Oh, I have. Not trying to discount your feelings, but I just think you are exaggerating.
I think part of the comments aimed at Campbell and the departing players is really frustration over the current system. People have no ability to control or change the repeated punches to the gut that the portal and NIL bring on. They can’t control players they rooted for leaving en mass while the fan is left to root on the program they’ve displayed loyalty to for decades. So they lash out where they can. I’m not excusing it, but I do understand where the frustration comes from. Personally, I’m amazed those seem to have the ability to say, “oh well, Good Luck!”He's not from here. Didn't go to school here. Didn't play here. Not many coaches would've stayed with the success he had and the limitations of the program. He gave us 10 years. Turned down the Lions, USC,
Jeremiah Cooper clears up how the Campbell guys really feel about ISU fans..
.... and hopefully Peppers? Is he still here or not?Sama, Vorhees, Flora. Not much room for Lee. Love the guy and wish him well.
Some of these guys will be giving up playing in front of 60,000 pumped up fans in Jack Trice Stadium... for playing in virtually a glorified high school stadium that is half full if they're lucky. Oh well.I'm surprised he didn't want to stay to compete for the starting job.. it was right there with Carson Hansen leaving!
Some of these guys I don't get. Carson Brown, WR from Des Moines.. like what does he think his market is? I'm not trying to be snarky but i'm trying to be real. Some of this is hilarious. Carson Brown could have played a lot next year had he stayed (maybe he still will if he finds no other suitors)
It's not the words that I see as an exaggeration, it the level to which you seem to feel some, that poster in particular, are supporting Campbell and resisting Rogers. No way, the getting on the knees with mouth open, couldnt have totally been an exaggeration, for effect. That was 100% realistic.
Seriously?![]()
I haven’t seen much ire directed at the departing players. I have seen a lot directed (appropriately) at Campbell and to a lesser extent Pollard. This roster depletion may have been anticipated but imo it creates a near death penalty experience for ISU.I think part of the comments aimed at Campbell and the departing players is really frustration over the current system. Or that they’ll actually leave.just because someone enters the portal doesn't mean they wanted to
