He's not from here. Didn't go to school here. Didn't play here. Not many coaches would've stayed with the success he had and the limitations of the program. He gave us 10 years. Turned down the Lions, USC, etc.

Who gives a ****, he left.

I could care less if he ever wins another game.

I am an ISU fan, not a Pedo St fan. I didnt cheer for Gable at Iowa, I dont cheer for Cael at Pedo St. I didnt cheer for cheesedick at Auburn, etc etc.

He left because ISU wasnt good enough for him. Period. Thanks for what he did here, but piss off from there.

You are on here crying because we arent all on our knees with our mouths open for Campbell while crying that Rogers will never be as good.

You want us to cry over Campbell, and hate on Rogers. You refuse to even give Rogers a chance, while continuing to simp for Campbell. **** Campbell, he left. I am here to cheer for those that are here, not those that left. I am here to hope and cheer for Rogers, and the players coming or staying at ISU. I could care less about any other program, whether they have our old players or coaches or not.

If you are so in love with Campbell maybe you should go over and praise him all day on the Pedo St board instead of here. Here at ISU it is time to get on the Rogers train. Period.

I hope it changes direction soon. Two Guys is my "brainless" podcast 2x per week. I can listen while I'm driving and check/in out without using too many brain cells. It's informative and I personally think Hassel is a pretty funny person. I relate much more to his approach to humor than Williams, aside from the whole "hawkeye thing." But if this kind of stuff is going to be how it is, then I'll just find something else to fill my drive home.

I don’t mind listening to Hassel knowing that he has a schtick and consistently plays it well.

Fans can keep cheering for their team without shitting all over the players leaving. Saying all they want is money. Saying how they are all stupid and will be poor in 5 years. Saying they suck and aren't big time power players

THere is a difference between ignoring the leaving players and treating them like ****. No coach or player leaving have public ally bad mouthed Iowa State on there way out. TONS of fans have.

Before NIL and the changes to transfer rules, many, me included, thought was a terrible injustice that coaches could leave and players were stuck in a system and with a coach they didn’t choose. Now these players are disloyal?

Sure, no problem criticizing their loyalty at all. And nobody needs to wish them the best. But reading this thread, last years roster had about 15 good players and the rest of the team defense wasn't worthy of Power 4 football. And we had ****** coach.

You seemed to have a bit of a problem with people questioning their loyalty in the post I responded to

And I don’t think that’s an accurate representation of the posts over the past few days at least. But even if so, oh well. Posters say similar things about players on other teams. And the players who chose to enter the portal (without being pushed out) are no longer on the team

I'm not even a believer.... but it's REALLY sad what all these players, and coaches, are doing to their "God". It's shameful. But whatever makes them feel better about their decision I guess? Yep... my "God" told me to take the money from all these fans... and then leave them... to go get more money!!!!

That makes their "God" look terrible folks... just saying.

Really, I have read this entire thread pretty much, and I have found very little of that. People not giving a **** about players not at ISU, sure, but not a lot of what you are saying.

Hell I even went to some of these tweets, and read the comments, there are maybe 1% of the comments that are disrespectful, which if you or those players cant handle it, then maybe they should just stay off social media. No one says any of these players have to announce on twitter or anywhere on social what their intentions are. Social media has always been a cesspool, hell half of the trolls on there, are not even who they say they are. Hawk fans regularly troll people, while pretending to be Cyclone fans, some of these so called haters could be that too.

A lot of these guys are putting their name in the portal thinking they are gonna get the call from Matt to join him at big old Penn State. In reality most are gonnna end up somewhere random like Wake Forest or App state. Unless the new staff is telling them to leave I don’t really get the urge to jump into the portal.

Maybe, but it's important to be reminded that the portal is different this year. With the rev share rules first being applied late in the summer of 2025 after rosters were basically settled, this off season represents the first opportunity for players to market themselves in a move. For many this is not a calculated move and they will wind up worse off.
