I can't tell which team/franchise this feels more familiar to.

Maybe playing for OT was the right call.

Is Cousins going to go win a game that matters for the first time in his career?

New Orleans: Brees first fumble all season. Guy misses field goal for first time in 18 tries.

Questionable TD play there.

Love having two OT games and a close one last night so far.

The saints can't catch a break with officiating in the playoffs. Rule gets changed because of a non-call that should make that last play at least reviewable for offensive PI (by definition it should be interference) and the league doesn't even take a look at this one. ****! That's cold, NFL.

Why review whether or not you're going to review something? Just review it and stop creating multiple barriers to righting a (potentially) bad call.

Process:
1. Determine if a play needs review.
2. If yes, review it to see if there is enough evidence to overturn the call (evidence must be extreme to overturn anything)

Seems simpler to either remove the first step entirely in situations like these (scoring plays in overtime) or keep both steps but reduce the barrier for reversal to disregard the call on the field and just attempt to make the correct call. If the call is worth reviewing it's worth getting right, call on the field shouldn't matter once it is close enough to be reviewed.

If you're gonna put in a review process for situations like this, it's pretty gutless to not use it when the pressure is on.

I’m kind of wanting to see LSU get screwed next week just to see Louisiana burn.

You'd have to call offsetting PI if you call something. Williams had his hands all over Rudolph the whole route and when the ball was in the air. If not for that I think we could've seen a PI on Rudolph on the review.

I was thinking it should have been OPI for that shove right to the chest. Let all the hand fighting go but that one shove should’ve drawn the flag imo. Happy for Vikes fans though.

With the DB face guarding and his hands holding the receiver's arms, it could have been PI. But, the Saints can whine about another Vikings loss. Bounty gate... they deserve them all. SKOL

Then call it that way after a review and keep things visible. You can argue the defender didn't get an advantage from his interference and the receiver did. You could also argue that this should be offsetting penalties and replay of down. The rules shouldn't encourage a player getting fouled to foul back because then you end up with these situations where nothing is clear.

Then call defensive PI. Nothing got called on the field. Neither defender nor receiver committed a foul according to the officials right now, and that's ridiculously stupid from a transparency to the rules standpoint.
