Both. We need to clean house on almost all offensive staff, and start recruiting better offensive playersDo you think its poor management or recruiting by Matt Campbell? Or Both?

Does he not practice? His first few punts seemed like good ones but each one kept getting shorter and shorter like he was tired after 2 kicks. Our punter is definitely not collegiate level
My high school coach referred to this as a lack of a will to win. This has been a problem with this coaching staff since Campbell started. Even last year there was a peculiar lack of any sense of urgency. This year the lack of any basic crispness on the part of the offense (line in particular) belies big problems with the approach all the way up the chain. It seems like some of the coaching staff started to lose their intensity last year during “the dream season”. It really has shown up this year. From recruiting to game prep to game day. As the high dollar head coach, it will be up to Campbell to make the required changes in the off season to get the program back on track.
Yes. That was my point. Is it interjecting politics to not like people who blatantly break the law to be representing ISU athletics ?
Thank you!My high school coach referred to this as a lack of a will to win. This has been a problem with this coaching staff since Campbell started. Yep. Again ISU is just not good enough to overcome things like that. Stanley had a really rough game yesterday. Stoned away a couple passes and failed to go after one that got picked off.3rd time this season. X dropped one against Kansas and Texas and then Noel today
I don't buy it. The lack of the will to win?? ..... from recruited, scholarship athletes that train almost year round, go to class, practice hard, do community service, take big physical hits every Sat., etc. What are you guys thinking? They're just going out to show up and have fun?Thank you!
Yes, that is CampbellBall in a nutshell.
So frustrating to watch, especially that it is still there in year 7.
The Minnesota Vikings AND Buffalo Bills are calling you regarding the QB sneak...Yes that’s very true. He must have total confidence in the O-line and backfield to keep attempting that up the middle run from shotgun. I think they have converted maybe once or twice on twenty attempts over the past few seasons.
Snapping under center and pushing the QB forward always got a yard every single time but no sense trying something that has worked 100 percent of the time. You cannot win football games unless you keep going back to the 5-10 percent chance for success plays.
I don’t watch NFL. What happened? The Minnesota Vikings AND Buffalo Bills are calling you regarding the QB sneak...

Perhaps it is more a lack of urgency, like he said. Of course, the players all want to win. The bolded, above, is correct though, IMO.I don't buy it. All losing teams fans bring this kinda stuff up. Same in the pros. Winning cures everything.
*KittleI know it's an NFL game and it's a Hok but George Kittel just caught a ball and headed downfield right away to get as many yards as possible.
NBC crew was going on about it.
ISU's receivers don't do this very well and haven't all season.
How much was his current abilities improved upon by his current coaching and experience.I know it's an NFL game and it's a Hok but George Kittel just caught a ball and headed downfield right away to get as many yards as possible.

No, they catch and fall, or catch with their back turned to the defender and get tackled right awayI know it's an NFL game and it's a Hok but George Kittel just caught a ball and headed downfield right away to get as many yards as possible.

Bruns kind of mentions this in his Iowa Everywhere podcast, about first year players not being able to produce the same way through the game.Does he not practice? His first few punts seemed like good ones but each one kept getting shorter and shorter like he was tired after 2 kicks.
What’s even more impressive about our defense is the number of times our O or ST’s put them in impossible situations and they still have the number 1 defense in the Big 12.Hats off to the defense..... once again.
You would think Campbell will make some changes. He has to. I'm not sure he will. Thus the quandry. What’s even more impressive about our defense is the number of times our O or ST’s put them in impossible situations and they still have the number 1 defense in the Big 12.
Imagine if we had an offense that consistently sustained long drives and didn’t consistently turn the ball over…you’d see a defense that wasn’t on the field the majority of the game (or a defense that actually got to rest for a bit instead of going right back out on the field after an unceremonious 3 and out).
If we remotely had an offense, I’m talking 5th or 6th in the conference, we’d be sitting at 7 or 8 wins right now. CMC needs to make serious personnel changes after this season and if nothing changes next year, then JP needs to clean house.
I loved the hire. 2020 CCG troubled me. Then last year. You would think Campbell will make some changes. He has to. I'm not sure he will. Thus the quandry.
I never thought I'd be thinking we might want to let Campbell go before his contract expires, a contract that goes until 2028 I believe. I'm still uncomfortable with this. But we need to see change, results. Heck, even some talk about change would be satisfying about now.
And I think we know that the biggest change will need to come from Matt himself.I loved the hire. 2020 CCG troubled me. Then last year.
I hope CMC makes major changes on offense, because this won't work going forward.
He was coach for the all time Cyclone passing leader’s time. And I think we know that the biggest change will need to come from Matt himself.
