He was coach for the all time Cyclone passing leader’s time.
Matt has earned a pretty lengthy rope. The rope is becoming shorter after this year, and with some of the same yearly repeated mistakes.

If he can right the ship, regain some of his past success, and win 7 or 8 games next year, with the same coaching staff, I'm good. Completely. That would show great progress and that this year was an anomoly. Matt knows best.

If he repeats a similar year and record next year, without making coaching changes, without taking his fingers off the offense, then change will be more apparent, even moreso than now. He will likely continue a couple more years past that to see if there is any magic left. Hope he can do it.
