Also can we quit trying to kick field goals? Obviously he can’t make them. We need to get a new kicker in this recruiting class. When we go to kick a field goal I just go to the bathroom knowing that anything over thirty yards will be a miss
Should try to get the kid from Johnston, he is solid.

There are actually a lot of the big donors on here - they just don't talk about it for obvious reasons. I know quite a few.
Likely, don't want to rock the boat.
Can't imagine how some of them feel. I feel sick, and have very little money at stake.

Here is my concern going into next year when you look at recruiting. Even though we currently have our highest rated class, it's a bit of a mirage when you take away a single player in Kohl...

Recruiting rankings:

2020 was 48 with a transfer rank of 131.
2021 was 60 with a transfer rank of 76.
2022 was 50 with a transfer rank of 111.
2023 is currently 33 with a transfer rank of 91.

2023 currently ranks 7th in the Big 12 but is closer to 9th than 6th. We have only one player in the Top 600. Only 2 offensive linemen and no running backs. We usually get more top 600 guys. If you take out Kohl, our class drops drastically.

Some promising kids but we have a long ways to go to say recruiting is "great".

With that said, we really need to hope we can keep developing Norton, Noel, Sanders, Gaines, Essex, Dean, etc. They're the ones that are going to determine how quick this rebuild happens.

With a very weak WR room, no o-line (despite being mostly RS Juniors) or decent recruits, and a step back on several key positions in the recruiting class, we're lacking a lot of hope right now.

I wonder if there will be a Matt Campbell Show on Ch. 23 @ 9:30 in DSM tomorrow night? After two particularly guesome losses this year, they didn't have the show (at least in the regular time slot).

Hasn't he been pretty good since the KU game? At least by ISU standards?

While we're at it why the F can't ISU make SOMETHING be their 'thing', like always having at least a good kicker?

The general lack of upward trajectory for what's supposed to be a real young team is a red flag.

I’m 48 games, Purdue threw it 35+ times 13 times. In 10 starts, Dekkers has thrown it 35+ times 9 times. Dekkers is out 2nd best player on offense and he’s being asked to do too much.

So I am an old F****. My 1st year at ISU was 1st year with Criner, returned to ISU during last of Walden's, so I have seen some really bad football. Current year isn't as bad, but certainly the most frustrating.
O-line development very bad. Receivers that consistently drop wide open passes. Special teams a joke for the most part. Some of the best defense I've ever seen at ISU. CMC needs to take a deep dive and review staff and make changes that will address these issues or he will end up like coach Mac.

And these issues have been consistent over years, not one time flash in the pan problems.

Has it ever been good in any era?
