that was pretty cool overall. 4 hrs long so far, and almost 2 was country introductions. Crazy the amount of planning this take to carry out.
and we're done. Not bad overall, a little slow at the start but picked up well and stayed pretty entertaining. The rings were really cool, and the ending fireworks were quite impressive.
Agreed. Love the Beatles, as any rock fan does, but he needs to stop. It's becoming a reach anymore, and you hate to see former stars paraded out in front of the masses after their talents have faded so much.
Not really his fault, I suppose, as someone had to approach him for the gig.

Well, now we know the real answer to this question - each one of those "urns" was a copper leaf making up the London Olympic cauldron.
I need to sleep on this... at first, I thought they were god awful but they definitely picked up and got a lot better.
