***Official Olympics Discussion***

Whoever started this whole story about Ye Shiwen and her "possible doping, even though we have no proof and a slew of passed drug tests" needs to be shaken and slapped silly.

Get over it. The world champion won at the Olympics, and she happens to be young and Chinese.

She is 7 seconds faster than like 6 months ago. It's gonna raise some questions.

I forget - how many of his TEAMMATES said he should have practiced more? NBC said something about that.

How many of his teammates has 19 medals? Hell, how many of his teammates are having a considerably better Olympics this year than he is?

I agree. It's ridiculous and embarrassing how the American media is harping on this.

Sure. The head of the international swimming thing could refrain from comparing her to East German athletes.

Costas's point of Michael Phelps making the same decreases in time at a comparable age really should go with "let's put this to rest unless there's evidence."

5 seconds. As Bob Costas just said, it's not uncommon for a person of her age. They said Michael Phelps shaved 4 seconds off his 200m or 400m butterfly time between the ages of 14 and 15 in less than a year. SOooooo...

I think because it's China, they don't get the same benefit of doubt. I'm not sure they deserve it for that matter. They have had state sponsored steriod programs before.

I guarantee you if it was a US swimmer instead of a chinese one, nobody in this country would be saying the same ****.

And Phelps could be having an even better Olympics had he practiced more.

Funny how it's okay for some here to judge the "hotness" of supermodels, but it's not okay to judge an athlete when he's not living up to expectations.

Is there proof that they have one now?
If yes, then there's at least something to talk about, but still not real founded yet.
If no, suspicion really needs to stop until some sort of positive result appears.
