***Official NBA offseason thread***

The Heat add Rashard Lewis for cheap. Adding even more veteran shooters who are approaching the end of their careers.

The rumored trade would send Andrew Bynum & Jason Richardson to the Rockets, draft picks, Luis Scola, & Kevin Martin to the Magic, Dwight Howard to the Lakers.

Dwight will either be a Rocket, Laker, or Brooklyn Net today. This is going to involve a lot of players and draft picks.

God I hope so. So sick of hearing about this ******. I think I now hate Howard more than I hate Lebron.

Woah! lets not say anything crazy now haha. also you cant forget the fact that Howard is the one getting traded, he's not the one talking about it with the media constantly, if anything blame the ppl in charge of the trades and ESPN

He looks worse by the day. He is wildly immature and indecisive. If I were the Rob Hennigan I'd just take fifty cents on the dollar to ship him the **** out of Orlando, start the rebuilding process and never look back. I don't think Magic fans would blame him at this point.

I wouldn't. Make him take 25 million less to play somewhere else. That strategy kept Deron Williams in Brooklyn.

If I'm going to trade the #2 or #3 best player in the league, I already know I'm losing the deal. So to do it, I'd want the other team to take every bad contract I have off of my hands while supplying me with at least one high draft pick and other assets.

Just tired of hearing Dwight and Trade in the same sentence. It's been 2 years, finish it up and move on.

I don't know if that's a factor for Dwight Howard. Whatever he loses in his basketball contract he'll more than make up for in deals with adidas, McDonalds, etc. To my knowledge Deron Williams doesn't have anywhere near the marketing pull that Superman 2 does, so the extra cash was more applicabel to him.

If they don't pull the trigger on a deal soon, the market's going to dry up - the Nets, and other teams will follow their lead eventually. I have a feeling that the best deal the Magic were going to get has come and gone. Deal him now and get something or lose him after this season with nothing in return.

Houston gutted their team to try to acquire Howard and if they don't him, Royce and boys in H-Town could be in for a long season.
