NBA: ***Official NBA Draft and Offseason Thread***

Some odd quotes from the T'Wolves owner about giving Wiggins the max. I don't think I've ever heard any owner front office guy talk about giving someone a contract as long as they promise to get better.

"To me, by making this offer, I'm speculating that his contribution to the team will be more in the future," Taylor told The Associated Press. "We've got to be better. He can't be paid just for what he's doing today. He's got to be better."

"He seems to have the ability, and so the only thing it would be is for some reason he didn't work hard enough to obtain the skill sets. That's what you're asking him to commit to."

It's an odd one. It wouldn't be the first time an NBA team has paid on potential rather than production and it probably won't be the last, but like you I'm trying to recall the last time an owner or exec was so up front about it. If I was Andrew Wiggins, I might find this more insulting than not being offered the max at all. "I'll give you the max, but first you need to make a super duper pinky swear promise to get better."

Yeah that is weird statement.

90% of these uniform changes suck. Nike tries too hard to be flashy.
I actually thought these have been very minimal changes for the most part. Denver, Utah, Charlotte, and Washington basically just changed a few colors and/or added a stripe on the side or the shorts. Compared to the past couple years of Atlanta, Phoenix, LA Clippers, and Denver(pick ax cross)

Apparently Adidas isn't fully on board with the Andrew Wiggins, no-doubt max player side of the argument.

Good, I don't want Adidas basketball shoes ruining another good players' career.

Somewhat jimlad: as I know shoes don't ruin careers, but I have always disliked their basketball equipment ever since I was forced to wear them for basketball my freshman year. Last day of try outs I got a high ankle sprain and was out for a few weeks. Went back to Nike and never looked back. Also, Kansas wears Adidas

I agree, I've bought only Nike's for years now for basketball. I saw something last year that they have like a 93% market share on basketball shoes. Which seems really high but shows how much of a hill Adidas and under armour are trying to climb.

Adidas has the world of soccer, and they dominate that. But Nike is the best basketball shoes for sure, and I don't think it is very close quality-wise.

Celtics gave up too much. Think the Cavs won the trade. That Nets pick is going to likely be a star player in Porter or Doncic. Porter and LeBron(if he stays) would be a good duo.
