***Official March Madness Thread***

You know a guy that can rock a top bun as a freshmen at UVA can make those FTs. Pure.

Great finish!!
And yes, that was 100% a foul on that 3 point shot and should be called every single time regardless of how much time is left on the game clock.

I'll say every time we are in a close game and there's a chance for a foul late, we never get the call. And some people on here say that officials will never call that. They clearly do.

I always hated that argument that if the ref makes that late call he is influencing the game. By not making the call you are influence the game too. The guy did bump into him, so it was a foul, but with all the other crap that they let go the whole game was pretty ridiculous. Missed a pretty obvious double dribble at the end too.

I've always wondered... Is it just general expected sportsmanship that the defenders on the free throw block don't just scream things at the shooter?

I mean, in a situation like that, I think I'd stand as close as possible to the shooter, and scream or move just as he's shooting.

Refs wouldn't allow that. I tried subtly jerking my arm when the guy was shooting once and the ref told me I couldn't even do that. The guy made the FT, I'm pretty sure, but I was hoping to be a small distraction.

I don't know why they are calling it controversial. It was a legit foul.

Of course it was. But they never call that. Think about our games this year that they didn't call a foul on a shot like that. I think we had at least 2.

It's not surprising that Auburn is surprised they'd call that ****.

I’d love to see Sparty lose on a blown call now. These are supposed to be the good NCAA refs.

I guess I get not jumping or something, but I have seen defenders put their hands up. And I'm not sure what the call would be if you yell something at your teammate across from you as he's shooting. Is it a technical? And for what, distraction?
