Official ISU-Nebraska Post Game Thread

In 4-6 years if this kind of crap is still going on, then Ill change my mind, but currently I believe the Chiz is the right guy for ISU, even if these first couple seasons dont show it.

I'm just not happy with the offensive scheme, and the timing of certain offensive play calls and the sets we're running at those times. Why did we see so little of Sedrick Johnson and Darius Darks in the first half? Why no trick plays or creativity? When you are struggling on offense, try to do something to get yourself field position or a spark...

Agree 95%, trick plays, not so much but to me the whole offensive scheme is awful.

I didn't attack anyone, but thanks for sensationalizing my post. Just pointing out a fact. He played through injuries in high school, and that's great. There is nothing absurd about what I posted and I said nothing negative about Scales himself.

So, who should be ashamed here?

You called Jason Scales an example of one of Mac's "poor recruits". He was such a "poor recruit" that he also had offers from Kansas, Iowa, and Northwestern. All teams that have been pretty good during Jason's career, and all teams that will be in bowl games this year. If you think Scales was a "poor recruit", you don't know enough to call yourself a fan.

Please quote the post where I referred to Jason Scales as a "poor recruit."

Gee. I thought I was p.o.'d about the game today.

Only thing I've gotta say, is you guys need to lock up your firearms, sharp objects, and get the wife and kid to the battered women's shelter tonight, before you do something rash.

You'd think no-one here has ever been an ISU fan during the last 40 years....

Yes and everyone is fed up with the same crap

Keep it clean and on topic - no name calling or putting down others!

Yea, both of our lines need to improve. Our D-line wasn't getting much pressure at all..

We wont get any better until our offensive line improves. Our defense is on the field way to much.

Agreed-especially run blocking. I thought we showed signs of being good at pass blocking against Kansas, but today Arnaud spent way too much time running for his life.

Ganz, on the other hand, had all day to pick out a receiver. Roy Williams and Pac Man Jones couldn't have stayed with their receivers long enough for our D-Line to get through today

We only had 218 totals yards. Take back the 67 yard TD run by ARob and look we have. Nebraska had over 500 yards. That is pretty dang terrible.

Not reading the whole thread but keep in mind that THREE FIFTHS of this team was NOT recruited by the current coaches and they are starting to get beat out by freshmen, that should tell you all you need to know about where this program is headed. I have total confidence we can turn this around but it does not happen overnight, not in football and not when the prior regime left no line on either side of the ball. The lines are the hardest thing to turn around, you need to develop these guys off the field, in the weight room, give it some time.

As for some of the play calling, sure I would like to see some longer routes but Arnaud was also getting killed on every five step drop and the receivers weren't helping, way too many drops again, what's with the tight ends?

One thing I did notice is we only sent two receivers out way too much and Nebraska had three covering two almost ever time. That makes it pretty hard to throw the ball, especially when you keep the tight ends and the running back in to block. Our line has to be able to block 5 on 4 to open the offense up and right now they can't.

I'm sorry I'm sure this was already covered but I got t get it off my chest. I am officially done with season tickets after today, we are so far from being competitive it's ridiculous. I bought into the whole support the team speech from Pollard. Now, I want results for my dollar. I know your all going to rip on me but seriously come on with the way the economy is going I'm sure I'm not the only one that is not going to re-up. I want results and honestly we were one tackle away from being shut out today, a week ago we got stomped by frickin Baylor, I'm done! I'll still tailgate but there is no way I'm going in, I'll sell my tickets for the last games. We suck, period. I'm going back to scalping before the game. If I wanted to put my money in crap I'd invest in port-a-potties.

I am tired of this ***** *** game we are playing right now. This team does not have any fire underneath of them what so ever or any killer instinct like I thought they would have with Coach Chizik. Nothing has changed in the past few years like I thought. Pollard needs to go!!! along with his pipe dreams!! I will not spend any more money on games after today, period!!! and I am a long time fan, but when this crap keeps happening it is the coaches.
