Give me a break:
From ESPN:
Key stat: We knew Iowa State could shoot it, but we weren't sure the Cyclones could push around a Big East team. But that's exactly what they did on the backboards, outrebounding the Huskies 37-20.

That is a staggering margin.

I can't say UCLA 1997 didn't cross my mind when our 22 point lead got cut down to 6 but Wow! I am a very happy Cyclone right now!!! I loved the effort and we keep getting better. Go Cyclones!!!

YESS!!!!! I have to write something in this thread tonight, so I can read it tomorrow......HAH! Huge Win!!!

Here are my current thoughts on the game before passing out...

1. Chris Allen.....where have you been? I'm proud of you man.

2. Royce White....if he could shoot the mid-range or 3 consistently, he might honestly be as dynamic of a player as Lebron. Not quite the hops or speed as Lebron, but same skillset.

3. Thank God For Freddy. He's the best thing to ever happen to Ames or Iowa State.....well, since the Giant Rice Krispy bar or the gyro man that is...

4. Congrats to the entire team on this one......it was a complete team effort and I couldn't be happier for all the players and staff and fans that made it out to Louisville. Royce's coast to coast dunk on our first offensive possession set the tone for the whole game. Bubu's high bank off the top of the board was one of the ugliest and most beautiful shots I've ever seen. Jeremy Lamb's missed, wide open, windmill dunk at the buzzer will be someone's signature mpeg by tomorrow.

5. Chris Babb.....he's one of the best lock-down defenders I've ever seen @ ISU and he's only a Junior. Nobody is going to want him to guard them next year.

6. Can you tell I like to use excessive use of periods(.)?

AWESOME..........AWESOME..........AWESOME.........good night loyal followers of the Cylones and the Fred Hoiberg Nation. We earned this one & if you go to work tomorrow, make sure you're wearing your Cyclone gear!

:jiggy:..........SLEEP:

Shout out to Ejim and Booker. Those two played their assess off on the defensive end tonight. Great job boxing out UConns bigs all game, and Ejim was clutch on the Free Throw line. I think this was one of his best games, maybe his best of his career. We'll need him to battle just as strong Saturday to have a chance. If we can position ourselves around the basket for rebound like we did today and we get shots to fall I can see how we pull the upset. But it'll take a perfect storm....possibly even a cyclone.
