Does Messingham go into halftime thinking that the other team will "over adjust" thus thinking what he does will work? He is making Greg Davis look like a genius so far which is really saying something.

This offense is totally inept. Richardson looks like a deer in the headlights out there. The plays take too long to develop. The hurry-up is not a hurry-up at all. The pistol is rarely if ever used. He has a running back who was a stud in Juco who has yet to have a running play from scrimmage, even though the other backs are doing nothing. Two weeks off and this is the preparation the fans get to see? It's not like Iowa is a powerhouse or something.
Keep him in this position, and why would guys like Mister or Lazard want to sign the LOIs?

worst thing that could have happened is the comeback. Now CPR will spin it saying the offense showed resilience and looked much improved from the first half and will say it's something we can build on. If ISU only scores 7 points then there's no way CPR can spin it. Sucks a lot.

Love Ben Bruns. Always gives an honest assessment of where we are at. Doesn't spin. Said we either need to figure out a way schematically to get tailback involved in offense or forget it and sling it around. But can't do what we are doing.
