The level of ignorance on this board is mind blowing. The Stanley Cup is without question the most difficult trophy to win in all of sports. The Kings had to go through the #1, 2, and 3 seeds in the West and then the Eastern Conference Champion to win the Cup. All while winning a great portion of their games on the road. ISU got lucky on a Friday night in their own stadium against a team that was dealing with an emotional tragedy that played their worst game of the year. Also, the award is for "best upset" not "best team that can incorrectly claim responsibility for creating a playoff our team will never be involved in>"

If you need an award that now all of you are saying is irrelevant, (you weren't saying that before the show last night) then you are even more pathetic than I had originally thought. Iowa State typical, get a **** up their *** every time someone dare not worship your program. You are getting dangerously close to resembling Jon Miller there.

Not that I dont agree with your post, but the whole "emotional tragedy" thing. Lets be cereal, while their may have been some that cared, I have a hard time thinking that those football players were very close to the womens basketball coach. just saying.

I hate the whole tragedy argument. I'm sure when they were up 24-7 it wasn't weighing on thier minds. We're expected to believe that it was a factor for the final 2 quaters and 2 OTs?
