They are 25 in AP. 26 in coaches. Playoff rankings come out at 1 CST. It’s going to be close. They will be 24 or 25. Or just barely out.
Kirk will probably be in a great position to say “I told you so” because OU plays Bama and UT plays UGA. But he’s still wrong because UGA didn’t just lose to Bama.
B12 has a great opportunity to gain some respect if one of OU or UT can win a game.

Just noticed that said "projected". Where are you seeing 25? The official website has not updated.
We have to wait for the NY6 just in case they pick something unlikely like Washington State.
Kirk is on suicide watch because the B10 and a 2nd SEC team got left out.
I don't see how the NY6 games even affect us now? Texas is in the Sugar automatically.
WSU has nothing to do with where we go, correct?
It depends if the Alamo Bowl wants to turn this into the Leach-Holgerson Bowl. If that's the case, Alamo selecting WSU could make it likely they go with WVU instead of us.
Pac 12 is the other side of the Alamo so they have to see who they like more.
I think we gotta root for WSU in the NY6 though I think it ends up being:
OSU v Washington in Rose Bowl
Georgia v Texas in Sugar Bowl
LSU v Michigan in Peach Bowl
UCF v Florida in Fiesta Bowl

It really looks like the effect of being bumped up or down in the bowl system, based on whether your conference got a team in the CFP, is going to be pretty stark this year. Looking like the b1g is going to have some pretty favorable bowl matchups.
I don't know if you participate in College Football's subreddit on Reddit, put they had a Belk Bowl rep start a thread asking posters who should they choose for the Belk Bowl. I thought it was pretty cool.
