Official Bowl Watch thread

Is there a reason you aren’t counting Alabama’s wins against Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Missouri? All 3 are currently ranked.

Yes, because I am not considering those top tier/good wins. Just like how I didn’t include OU’s win vs us or Army in their “good wins”

I do think that Alabama is in regardless...maybe a slight chance of being left out if Georgia boat races them (yeah, that isn't happening). I'd still be a bit nervous if I was Notre Dame. Say OU and OSU have convincing wins, and Bama/Clemson both win...why do you have to eliminate OU or OSU? Put a marker down to Notre Dame...play by the rules that everyone else does.

Boy I might be late to the party with opposing team scenario's but the Alamo Bowl against Mike Freakin' Leach in the cards? Sign me up for that sh*t.

Does anyone know the rules about passing out drunk in the river walk? If I look homeless will it be okay? Or if have ISU gear on will they take me in?

247 has Iowa against Stanford.....again. That would be a rematch I would LOVE to see.....especially from their band.

On GameDay they basically said the Pac 12 Championship game was awful because neither team could score or do anything. But isn't that just GREAT defense? I thought they liked defense?

They complain the Big 12 doesn't play defense, and OU doesn't play defense, but then they complain about a 10-3 game not having enough offense too. So which is it?

Michigan scored 39 pts on tOSU, but what if tOSU had to play WV instead like OU did? The score might have been something like tOSU-63, WV-56. So would all the "experts" on ESPN be saying that tOSU can't play defense then too?

Basically it's whatever the Big12 does is wrong, except when other conferences do it.

It's like "do as I say, not as I do".

I've heard some talk of Montgomery being the first RB selected in the draft. Any chance him or Hakeem sit out the bowl game?

Butler has already said he's going to play in the bowl game. I suppose he could change his mind, but that's what he said earlier this week.

I haven't heard if Montgomery has said anything about it yet?

I won't be surprised if those two go pro, but would be surprised if they sit out the bowl game. And as noted above, Butler said he's playing.

Sooners holding on to win and keeping Texas in the 30s could work out well for them I think.
