Many WVU fans complaining about being on an island this morning now that Louisville will be playing all of WVU's old rivals in the ACC. The Big 12 was a bigger step up than most of them thought. Reading their board it seems like many would put the diaper back on if they could, and play the kind of cupcake schedule they had grown accustomed to in the Big East.
Personally, I think a successful Big 12 expansion would not have included Louisville anyway, although their teams would have been competitive. The Big 12 simply needs bigger impact teams with enough eyeballs to expand our footprint, and the only teams that can do that are the football powers of the ACC. And we won't get the opportunity to choose them until both the SEC and B1G run out of slots.
