I'm guessing over half the people on here live I'm the Des Mones metro, which has had nothing other than a strong breeze. Turned out to be a really nice evening actually. Probably the nicest night of the spring so far. For the metro, at least, it was a complete bust.

I’m outside Ames and the lightning is insane and under a severe thunderstorm warning now.
Storm was absolutely screaming towards Ames. Projected arrival time at 9:30 according to radarscope was 10:20 and it landed at 9:50
I did see a few flashes in Johnston, and heard one rumble of thunder. From the cell that's blowing past to the north. Maybe northern Ankeny is getting some it.
One of those incredible days, so much is there for things to go crazy but one thing kept it in check. A good reminder of how much has to be aligned for high end events,
In Ames and was just standing next to a window grabbing something and then all of a sudden a burst of wind that made the whole building creak
5 miles south of Boone: incredible lightning show, some wind, 60 seconds of maybe pea-size hail. Not really much rain....

Aand it's over. All the other storms are outflow dominant and likely not producing a tornado.

Western suburbs of Des Moines got conveniently missed as all the storms went up to Ames-Ankeny. You may get hit with the cold front though.
Yeah sorry I mainly focused on central IA here as I live here, but the Wisconsin storms are also looking not the healthiest. I think at this point we've entered the linear, outflow dominant, straight line damaging wind phase of the setup.
Ankeny got a spattering of rain, no hail and all the lightning and thunder was north of us.
