Had to cancel plans going to Waterloo today. Of course this will all melt soon and we will have a brown Christmas.
Yeah like the higher temps but the mess that will come with it will be a bit annoying.
Better to get rid of some of this s**t now before spring.
Would be 3 straight Christmas without snow on the ground if these stupid temps are accurate. I love the snow and it should be snowy on Christmas.
In a perfect world we'd have snow on Christmas and then it would melt and allow me to get Christmas decor outside down and stored away.
Supposes to drive Waukee to Waterloo sometime today. Could stay til tomorrow if roads are iffy. 511 not looking great.

In the Winter "previews" that's when they said we were suppose to get the worst of it. If it turns out to be worse than what we already have had its going to be a LONG Winter.
I hope I’m not being dramatic, but I think it might just snow every day for the rest of my life at this point.
I'd like to have this level of detachment! I'm basically constantly looking up the weather in the best of circumstances, but the past few weeks I've gone overboard. (My sister had a baby last weekend during the 8 inches of snow in Ames, then I had to--for complicated reasons--take the baby home from Blanks on Friday trying to beat the snow and ice.)

About 5 years ago we did combine soybeans when it was snowing. I still can’t believe we did that.
