the snowpack on the streets that were not pre-treated is now sheets of ice. This feels more like mid-January. I'm already done with winter.

That's my street in Twin Cities. Steep hill starts at one end of my property. They usually hit it with some spray or dry deice pellets but it was rain turning to snow for first event so they couldn't. Had to laugh at the garage trucks trying to back up the dead end street this weekend. They couldn't make it (didn't even get close to making it) and yesterday a rental truck ended up partly over the curb into my yard after spinning out. I was sure I was going to have the truck fully into my yard but she managed to get it out without totally tearing up my yard. Peeps that live at top of hill all have to get a good run to up the hill.
The weather in Chicago is ******* cold.
Like mother nature is angry at the city.
Sidewalks slick and falling ice signs out.

My new car came with a steering wheel heater. I thought that I would never use it. I will NEVER buy another car with out it. I use it all the time now.It hit 39 here on my way into work, I had to turn on the seat heaters.
Better than heated seats by a long shot. My last ride had it, this one does not. Miss it.
Just saw that Ames could get 5-6 now. A heavier band could form from Fort Dodge to Davenport.
It already has. 15 inches of snow last weekend with another 5 or 6 this weekend, plus 14 below this morning.
