***Official 2025 Weather Thread***

This has little to do with the weather, but as I sit here at 8pm I can't help but notice how much quicker it's getting dark outside, and that makes me a little sad.

In a few short months, the days will get very short and cold, the nights will seem endless, and I will long for the spring time. Fall is such a beautiful time time of year...if only it didn't have to be followed by 4 or more months of winter.

Guess I should learn to live in the present and not focus so much on what lies ahead.
Makes it really hard to mow and take care of other things around the house outside, especially with kids. *sigh* Oh well, I should also focus on living in the present and just enjoying what we have.

My wife dreads fall and winter as she hates the cold, to the point where she will get sad when people just mention football season or school starting. I've tried my best to help her get past that, as those seasons represent half of her life (and another quarter spent dreading that half), but it's a tough thing to overcome for sure.
SAD is a real thing.

Was amped to do some yard work last night, by the time I ate dinner, I only had about an hour before the sun started going down, wtf?

So a week or so ago I looked at long range forecast which was warm and sunny 80 around this Sunday. Decided to do a deck party Sunday afternoon. Each day I look and forecast for Sunday gets hotter, first 85 and now 91. Thought, well, that's a dry fall 90. And nope, humid like an August state fair day. Guess I'll have to bring fans out on the deck.

PS: It ain't a tailgate, lot's of older people from my neighborhood invited.
