BACK IN MY DAY! (2010-2013) it was cold as **** walking home from the bars. no ubers no nothing. just a man with a flip phone and the prospect of 2 totinos pizzas

At least you were post-smoking ban in the bars. 10 years earlier you had to debate bringing a winter coat with you knowing that it will forever smell like an ash tray or risk dying of exposure on the walk home.

I vividly remember standing at the bus stop at the end of Welch with a -40 wind chill. Had to be the coldest I've ever been. That would be in... 2008 I think.
Started my Air Force career at Grand Forks in the 90's. We didn't close the flight line until it was -80 degree windchill or worse. Coldest ambient temp I remember for a preflight was -40C. I remember that because I discovered that day doing the conversion that -40 is the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit (reported on ATIS in Celsius, our ancient aircraft performance charts used Fahrenheit). You kids are soft with your -40 wind chill!

when you are hungover the next morning, having your clothes smell like an ash try was difficult to stomach.

Wonder if ISU will cancel class. They actually canceled once due to cold when I was in school. I think the wind chill was around -30 or something like that. I lived on Welch and my dumb ass walked all the way to Mole Bio only to realize class had been cancelled when I got there. I actually got a nose bleed from the cold on the walk.
They won't cancel; they will move everything to virtual.

After spending the night at Fox Lounge, your clothes would look like you starched the living crap out of them as they literally keep their shape when you took them off due to the heavy smoke.
