Will root for the team that wins going forward.I think the Tech - Drake game is a win win. Tech holds serve, B12 looks good. Drake wins, also good. If you guys want to root for Tech against the under-dog Iowa team, be my guest.

That’s really dumb. It is critical for Iowa State that the Big 12 does well and wins games - big/important games - in football and basketball. Not even a loose correlation with douchy SEC “pride” in any way; it’s completely about survival as a “Power conference” school.
Just saw it on Reddit, but didn't realize St Johns didn't even play anyone in the top 25 on Kenpom. Their best win was #30 Marquette.
lol, very surly, good job!You are in the minority, so no, you be our guest.
Drake seems to complain a lot after foul calls.
This is a really physical game too. Hardly any fouls and the game is flying by.
Jacy HollowayName me a white point guard who isn't (Braden Smith, Pedulla, Harding, Aaron Craft, etc).
Tech starting to impose their athleticism advantage. Let's see if they can piece together a run.
Plus, The Big XII and consequently Iowa State literally earns $$$$ for each team that advances to the next round. I think I saw that the ACC earned $2 million for UNC advancing to the First Round from the First Four. Amount doesnt really matter, just that TT winning today will mean more money in the Big XII and ISU coffers. It directly benefits ISU to have the big 12 be viewed as a top conference. That kind of perception results in more media dollars and, over time, the benefit of the doubt on bids and seeding.
It does nothing good for ISU for ISU to have to share the in-state media stage when it is having success.
Go Tech.
Actually, they won an NCAA Tournament Game in 2021. People might not like the format of the First Four, but they are NCAA Tournament Games and count as an NCAA Tournament appearance and a win or a loss. It's Drake, this is their first win in the tournament since the Johnson administration, they're not really a threat IMO.
But I bet they to back to mediocrity once McCollum leaves so I don't really care, if they win that's fun, if tech wins then it looks good for the Big 12.
I guess I feel more attachment to Drake since I grew up near the drake neighborhood and I see it as good for the community. I can understand how most cyclone fans don't feel the same way. If it was UNI I'd definitely be rooting for Tech lol.

I am rooting for Drake, because I like Drake. However, it doesn't help ISU any. Moreover, Texas Tech winning is better finacially for Iowa State and the Big XII.I think the Tech - Drake game is a win win. Tech holds serve, B12 looks good. Drake wins, also good. If Topplin can keep it up I'm not sure what Drake can do.
