Late 70s growing up in eastern Iowa I would climb on top of our detached garage with my boom box to pull in WGN. Relaxing in my living room listening to the radio tonight drinking a beer is nostalgic but with a lot less chance of serious injury.

Please move Kelly down to 8th spot. The law of average is taking over. He is not a clean up hitter.

Really solid start from Brown tonight. That’s encouraging. Not sure if Dansby would’ve made the play Shaw tried to make but that led to the first run he gave up which is super unfortunate

Yep, just can't catch a break tonight. Tigers have made some plays on defense tonight that I bet they don't typically make.

I mean the game very, very much should be tied, at a minimum. Potentially 2-1 if not also for Shaw blowing that play at 3rd (although yes it was a tough bounce).

Of course now the reclamation project bullpen is gonna give up runs and end it.

Still my favorite Cub. Incredible player.
He was so fun to watch when he was at his best but he would swing at everything and have some bad errors trying to make some impossible plays. The times he succeeding with those impossible plays were amazing but I am not sure he could find the word discipline in the dictionary if you asked him. His legacy will probably go down as the guy the Cubs traded for PCA who looks like could be one of the best players in MLB for many years.

First time we've noticed Quinton Berry all year which means he's doing a great job, it happens.

No issues with Shaw trying to take 2nd there. Took the perfect pitch to throw on and the 2nd fastest pop time in baseball this year to get him on a close play.

Lastly, Tarik Skubal is going to be a very, VERY rich man after next year. He's so good.
