*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

Announcers keep making reference to "yesterday's" game, and who pitched, etc....wow. Clueless.

Rea has been really good the last month, probably our best healthy starter and he’s nowhere to be seen. Pitched 1.2 innings in game 2 against the Padres. I just don’t understand these decisions.

I don’t know why I am pissed. In April I was asked what I expected this year. I said we would get swept in the NLDS. Here we are.

Same. Logically, I thought "just make it as far as to be expected" given their regular season performance. But since it's the Brewers, I'm also pissed. I hope they get POUNDED should they advance.

Well, last week was fun, but its blatantly obvious we are nowhere close to competing for a title unless we upgrade this pitching staff.

The main problem. Is now we are likely losing Tucker so if Busch and Suzuki regress at all you're looking at probably an 84 win organization again.

It was going to take runs to win this series. I thought we could take advantage of the Brewers pitching woes, but I guess not.

I hate this team and I hate this front office with every ounce of my being.
Why? Once you come to accept that 2016 was it then youll feel better. This season is no different than teams like 98, 2007, 2008, 2017 not anywhere close to good enough for a deep post season run.

Somebody has to get canned for the Boyd game 1 decision. Totally nuts.
I had a really bad feeling about this Saturday morning when I woke up and Assad wasn't even on the roster.

Just mind boggling handling of the pitching staff already this series. It's becoming clear why Counsell was good but never made it to a WS with Milwaukee.

Busch will only regress if Counsell doesn't take off the kid gloves with him and allow him to learn to hit left handed pitching and be an everyday 1B. Suzuki had a career year after the Cubs went out and got a guy to play RF because he was so bad at it with his glove. Ironically he was serviceable in LF and RF when Happ and Tucker were hurt.
