Honestly Steele has looked shaky. I’m not sure next man up is that much of a drop off but it’s definitely a big drop from what we were hoping he’d be this year
After listening to the beat writers talk about the Steele injury and the things the coaches have said I'm going to guess that this result is something that was on the organizations radar. At the very least they weren't blindsided by it. They have contingencies for most everything because they're in win now mode. They most definitely had plans for this possibility.

Little bit of everything that inning. Ball that should have been caught, swinging bunt for a hit, ball off a glove for a hit. Least got out of it tied up.

And here come more runs. Pearson wild pitches a guy home after loading the bases. Smooth.
