I don't get to watch much, but is this a thing now where the ump checks the pitchers on their way to the dugout? They've done that for both starters so far.

Any chance they do the unthinkable and go after Trevor Bauer? The Steele injury is a huge letdown because it looks like we'll have at least the offense to compete this year.

I’d be surprised. Right or wrong, Bauer still Carries some baggage (not my judgement).

My best guess is Hoyer rides with his guys for awhile and see how it goes. He was proud of the depth he built on the pitching side. Assad is coming back soon, so that helps. I think a June deal before the trade deadline is more likely. Better idea then who is in or out of playoff pic and helps Jed’s leverage more than trying to trade for a solid starter now.

Then again, there is an equal and opposite chance I’m completely wrong.
