Another day without snow is another day without snow before spring. Kind of nice to think about it that way. I despise one inch at a time. Give me a bunch at once, or several time a year.

Honestly last year wasn't so bad in Des Moines. 10 days and something like 30 inches of snow. But then we barely had anything the rest of the year.

This sux balls. Bring on the snow and cold. Let's ice fish.
I forgot--I have a vexlar fL8 from about 1992. I retire at the end of the year. Ice shack is in the attic! The pond behind our house is mostly shaded and covered with ice. Road melt salt drains to it also so it isnt one to fish or to venture on to in the winter.

Last year was great. Got up to the upper 70s in February. So many days in the 50s. Summer seemed average to slightly below average. Best combo you can ask for.

Our street is a sheet of ice. Melts during the day and refreshes smooth at night. Have a neighbor that didn’t shovel that 1/2” of snow we got. Today I saw them trying to get their car up it. Just spun their tires.

Think the sun has gone south for the winter. Don’t expect to need the tinted glasses today either.:D

Agree. I might be in the minority but I'd take some lower temps (not with crazy wind) for having the sun out. The dreary days gets to me.
Agree! I always think December is the worst month of the year. Weather is like this a lot and days are the shortest of the year. Sounds like polar air coming after the first which probably will lead to sunnier weather at least.

I will choose this weather 10 out 10 times vs January single digits and negative highs regardless of the sun.
