Multiple IDOT trucks out pretreating roads this morning. Saw 4 trucks between Mason City-Clear Lake-Lake Mills-Forest City, all applying liquid.

That’s the kind of peace of mind that is almost priceless even if you never use it. One of my favorite modern technologies that has been scaled to the point of being attainable for a “regular” person.

How is everyone doing out there with the ice?

Decent amount of ice in CR, but I was able to make my way around the streets without too much issue. A few trees are leaning, mostly it's christmas decorations in people's yards that are taking the brunt of it.

I'm in eastern Iowa and there seemed to be more ice on the windows earlier.

The grass was more slick than the stairs.

Rural areas of Marion County (Pella west) has more ice than we need. About a quarter inch on my sidewalk. Won’t be going anywhere for a while.
