***Official 2024 Weather Thread***

I think my last mow was in August. It didn’t hardly rain a drop for over 2 months and only turned wet the past couple weeks. Far too late to get the grass to take off again.

I didn’t mow between August and October. But we got enough rain that it greened back up and got long enough that I wasn’t going to let it go. So I mowed last week. I was genuinely surprised how quickly it went from crispy to green again this late in the season.

Sunday is my plan. One more mulch of the leaves along our fence and then take the mower deck off and put on the snowblower
Any leaf that doesn’t get bagged, mulched or blown away by Sunday at 5:00 is winters problem.

Hoping some of that snow sticks for opening deer season this weekend. I'll be just outside Stevens Point.

What direction from SP? That's kind of an interesting area. Not quite north woods but not like southern WI either.

Looks like it will be gone unless they get some tonight.

The ground might be pretty soupy.

Polonia, so about 15 minutes NE of town. It's not uncommon for it to be wet, as a stream rolls through the 40 acres of woodlands. It's right next to a cornfield.

The "projections" are that the temps are suppose to be near normal to slightly above but the precip is suppose to be above normal.

We will see if they are correct...
Kicking off late November and early December with an attic blast is not the start I wanted!
