A little rain happening in the hood.. Other than the .06" one day this will be the 2nd rain since end of August. Think I might have heard thunder off in the distance so checked the radar and there's some color west of me so maybe this will be more than just hundredths.

First round went just south of us in Ames. Getting some rain and pea sized hail now.

Ended up with 0.15"

Is the Des Moines metro ever getting anything? Ed Wilson showed .60 inches just 3 hours ago and it rained here for about 3 minutes today total.

It rained hard and hailed in South Waterloo for like 2 minutes and then stopped

Pretty sure it didn't do any good.

Looks like one big rain chance next week, & it's on our trick-or-treat night.. Think the metro could change it to actually be on Halloween just this once?

Don’t raise your kids soft. A cold rain during trick-or-treating is a rite of passage for children. This idea that ToTing needs to start before the sun goes down and ends at a certain time is ruining children’s upbringing. It ends when the candy is gone and everyone turns off their lights! If that’s midnight, so be it.

I remember trick or treating in a snow storm in N. WI in the early 90s.
