In non Milton news, is it ever going to cool down here?? After today, it’s mid 80s to the end of the week. This has to be rare for this time or year. It feels more like summer than parts of summer did. I’m ready for cool temps all day instead of this jacket weather walking the dog in the morning then t-shirt/shorts in the afternoon.

Sunday-Tuesday looks like highs in the lower 60's. So a brief cool down.

Is this heaven? No, it's Iowa.

I have two co-workers in the Tampa area. One of them is on Madeira Beach and her entire neighborhood flooded out. They were in the process of gutting the house when they evacuated for Milton. Her house was build in 1979 and this was the first time it flooded. They are hoping to have a house to come home to. She said the entire area is one big trash pile from debris/housing materials. It's going to be a disaster area.

Other co-worker is further inland at Carrollwood. They are not planning to evacuate.

Well, right now the eye of Milton has disappeared. Still spinning pretty good, but has to be better than having the buzz saw it was. Hopefully it either ingests enough dry air or moves fast enough to not blow up again before hitting the coast.
