Midwest Weather saying the same on FB. Sorry, can’t get a link to work on my phone.
I’ve long teased my dad that he could throw seed on his driveway and get 150 bushel corn but one of those pictures literally looked like corn growing on a sidewalk. Thank you genetics.

Crazy yellow sky in Marion right now.
We've got some real nice forecasts on the horizon after tomorrow. Maybe the first really good stretch of summer weather. Highs in the low 80's. Lows in the 60's. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny. Enjoy it.
It's a weird sky in Central Iowa right now too. And DEAD calm. Almost Eery. Kind of nervous about what tomorrow's weather brings.
I would almost prefer the current forecast if the cells start developing in Central Iowa rather than near the South Dakota/Iowa border like they did in 2020. Spare us the straight line winds. Eastern Iowa and the QC area seems more like the target right?
Obviously anything is possible, and I’m just a couch meteorologist/storm chaser, but I see the initiation of this threat just creeping ever so slightly East with the next couple of SPC outlooks. Des Moines could get completely shut out.
I predict that it will be cold in 6 months.
It's supposed to cool down the rest of the week which is great but this muggy stuff makes me look forward to fall.

That's the benefit of living in Iowa. Weather so crappy that you eventually start looking forward to the other versions of crappy weather.
It's obvious that mother nature is trying to drive us from the land. We just aren't taking the hint.
But I too look forward to 10 days of fall before the first snow.
