Nothing in the boondocks of southern Iowa yet. Did us finally getting a snowblower provide a blizzard free zone? Relatives near Ames and Des Moines getting snow now.
Just starting to snow here in Davis Co, and yes, you are going to need your snowblower before this is over. When our sons still lived at home we could go out and scoop out the drive, once they left, I did it once, after one large store, I phoned my wife and told her, "Look, I am getting too old, late 50's at the time, to be scooping the drive out by myself, so we either get a snowblower or plan on paying for my heart attack." She responded, "I guess you should get yourself a snowblower then." One of the better purchases we have ever made, this will be the 4 seasons, started right up a couple of weeks ago, and its actually kind of fun.

Not exactly sure.
I'm guessing if they count it a virtual, they don't have to use up a snow day? If that's the case, I just about guarantee we close. We have enough neighborhood kids I'm sure mine would just be out playing with them. It's the toddler I need in care!
Virtual doesn’t count in Iowa.

Yeah it just started here too. This would be a snow where if I still had one in college, he might still be at home. Alas, now I just have to obsessively check weather in all of my sons’ locations and worry about road conditions everywhere. The two in the KC area say three inches of snow shuts the whole place down. One on east coast got his blizzard over the weekend. Have Minnesota to worry about too.
